The cost of poor teamwork
Fact. Poor teamwork (relationships, trust etc) is expensive.
Poor team work can be seen and felt as miscommunication, too much rework, slow decision making, silos and internal friction , lack of accountability and ownership, low levels of responsibility , low engagement and higher burnout and sick days, and projects that drift, get stuck or fail.
But the biggest cost perhaps is in lost opportunity.
When trust is low, people are likely to hold back. When relationships are weak, problems stay hidden and when alignment and commitment is missing, effort gets withheld or wasted.
Businesses end up with smart people doing average work, which, in a competitive market simply doesn’t cut it.
